Ignacia Hernandez emigrated from Mexico to New York City at the age of 15 with the dream of opening her own business one day. Now, after two decades working in bakeries across New York City, such as Clinton Street Baking Company, she has brought her passion for fresh homeade breads, pastries, cakes and food to Washington Heights.
Everything at Sweet Life Pastry is made fresh, in house. Nothing is premade or delivered from other bakeries. Cakes are made to order and can be customized for any occasion. Sweet Life embraces the flavors of Mexico and the U.S. in their diverse menu, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with coffees, fresh fruit juices, smoothies and of course, pastries.
The cozy café environment with free wifi makes Sweet Life a perfect spot to enjoy a meal, study, read, or simply hang out. Sweet Life is a family run business and welcomes customers of all backgrounds. Everyone is family here. Ignacia and Eloy value each customer and love getting to know them on personal level. Come by to experience what makes Sweet Life Pastry a one-of-a kind neighborhood gem. "We hope to see you soon!"
